ASMALLWORLD AG (SWX:ASWN) names Dario Bertucci Managing Director of ASW Hospitality AG
Zurich, 08.03.2019 - ASMALLWORLD AG announces the hiring of Dario Bertucci as Managing Director of the newly created ASW Hospitality AG. In his role, Dario will oversee the management of the iconic North Island Resort in the Seychelles and the future development of the ASMALLWORLD Hotel Collection. The Group subsidiary is expected to contribute positively to the Group's bottom-line in 2019.
Dario Bertucci has been appointed as Managing Director of ASW Hospitality AG, a newly created subsidiary of ASMALLWORLD AG. In his role, Dario will be responsible for the development of a portfolio of inspiring hotels under the ASMALLWORLD Hotel Collection. His immediate attention will go to the management of the iconic North Island resort in the Seychelles (www.north-island.com). Announced on February 21st, ASMALLWORLD has taken over the management of this resort which is the first hotel to join the newly created ASMALLWORLD Hotel Collection.
ASW Hospitality AG will oversee the management of the day-to-day operations of the hotel going forward and will be responsible for its success. Through a franchise agreement, North Island will also become part of Marriott International's Luxury Collection brand portfolio in December 2019, and will operate as 'North Island, a Luxury Collection Resort'. This agreement will leverage Marriott International's strong marketing network and its large customer base around the globe while complementing the hotel's own marketing and sales efforts. Dario will oversee all of the mentioned activities as part of his new role at ASMALLWORLD Hospitality.

Dario Bertucci, a seasoned hospitality expert
Prior to his new role at ASMALLWORLD, Dario was Managing Partner of Swiss Hospitality & Partners, a strategic consultancy firm for the hospitality industry and a company which he founded jointly with Alexander and Michael Manz in 2010. Among other projects, Dario was responsible for the refurbishment of the Ritz Carlton Hotel de la Paix in Geneva and supported the luxury division of Accor Hotels with the project management of multiple property conversions.
Dario has an MBA degree from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy and is fluent in English, Italian and French. In his free time, Dario enjoys skiing, long distance running and cooking. He is married and father of one daughter.
